Medical Insurance for Public Officers

  1. Temporary officers who have served continuously in the Anguilla Public Service (APS) on month to month terms for a minimum of twelve months will be covered under the Medical Insurance Scheme from the thirteenth month;
  2. Temporary officers employed on month to month terms will be given the option to contribute personally to the Medical Insurance for the first twelve months of their tenure;
  3. Temporary officers employed in the Royal Anguilla Police Force, HM Prison and the Fire Services will be covered during the periods of employment by the Government.
  4. Temporary officers who have been serving continuously in the APS on day to day terms for a minimum of twelve months will exceptionally be covered under the Medical Insurance Scheme.
  5. Officers on study leave without pay will be given the option to contribute personally to the Medical Insurance for the duration of their study leave without pay. Where students on scholarship are not covered by the University’s medical insurance plan these students will be covered under the Government’s Medical Insurance Scheme.
