An immigration officer remains suspended from the Anguilla Public Service based on public interest grounds, pending the outcome of criminal charges brought against him. Following the outcome of the criminal charges a determination will be made as to the continued relationship between the officer and the public service. The determination will be made in accordance with the Public Service Commission Regulations and the General Orders governing the public service.
A fire officer who had similarly been suspended from the Anguilla Public Service was recalled to duty. He failed to show up for duty and was in accordance with the Public Service Commission Regulations determined to have resigned his post. He was subsequently found not guilty of the criminal charge brought against him.
